Now is one of the best times to be purchasing property overseas, the presenter of Channel 4's A Place in the Sun property show has stated.
Amanda Lamb remarked that those thinking of buying and have adequate funds in place should do so now, as there are "great bargains to be had" in foreign property.
Speaking at the A Place in the Sun Live exhibition in Birmingham, Ms Lamb also cited Spain, Poland and southern Italy as areas that could interest investors or those wanting a holiday home.
"Now is probably a better time to buy than ever before because there is just so much to choose from," she continued, adding that the amount of people "upping sticks and moving abroad permanently" is on the increase.
In related news, research from Cater Allen Private Bank has revealed three million people intend to buy a property abroad over the next two years, with those aged 45 and over most likely to make a purchase.
