Brand new three-bedroom detached eco-homes are on offer to homebuyers in Milton Keynes.

Courtesy of George Wimpey Homes, people can get their hands on one of the properties from just £105,000 with the government-backed Homebuy Direct scheme.

"These properties also satisfy the 16 standards of Lifetime Homes and can be adapted easily to suit young couples and families, through to retirement," states Jason Colmer, sales and marketing director for George Wimpey South Midlands.

She adds that the energy savings people will make will be an added bonus to the finances of young homeowners, with high levels of insulation helping cut the costs of bills.

The homes include an open-plan kitchen and dining area, with a handy utility room also coming as standard.

George Wimpey in east Scotland recently revealed there were just four plots left on its Garioch Gate development in Inverurie, which features 61 modern family properties.ADNFCR-1100-ID-19143993-ADNFCR
