More space for summer, for less!
With summer just around the corner, many parents may be considering the lack of space which comes with a house full of kids. But, for Swindon buyers, that needn’t be the case as Bryant Homes’ Wichelstowe development is currently offering a selection of four bedroom, detached homes, ready to move into now, for less than £300,000.

Swapping your existing property for a new home is a quick, stress-free and appealing solution, especially when it’s taking vendors nearly three months to find a buyer for themselves.

Latest figures from Hometrack show that the average length of time taken to sell a house in the North West has risen by almost 50% in the last year to 12 weeks; and it now takes an average of 13.7 viewings to achieve each sale.

It’s good news then that Redrow is now offering park exchange at its Hallwood Gardens venture in Chorley, allowing homebuyers to swap new for old so they can move virtually straight away.

Available on selected plots, part-exchange sees Redrow effectively acting as a cash buyer for the customer’s existing property, subject to criteria. It takes the problem of finding a buyer or being stuck in a housing chain out of the customer’s hands and paves the way towards that longed-for new home

Lesley Myers, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (North), said: “Part-exchange is perfect for people who want to move right away, but are being held back by their current house. We take any hassle out of their hands so they can concentrate on their all-new Redrow home.

“They will also enjoy all the other benefits that come with owning a new home such as improved energy efficiency and cheaper running costs, no costly renovations or upkeep and no living with a previous owner’s decorating disasters.”

Being able to part-exchange gives developers like Redrow a big advantage over the second hand sector in the current economic climate. Redrow can also provide access to a network of financial and legal advisers to help customers find the best mortgage for their circumstances and to ensure the move goes smoothly.

Part-exchange is just one of the ways Redrow can help its customers at Hallwood Gardens. Other options include deposit paid schemes, mortgage subsidies and the opportunity to own 100% of your new home from day one, but pay only 70% of the asking price, with the balance deferred with the new home buy direct scheme.

Homes currently available with the part exchange scheme include the ‘Ribble’ and the Ouse. These four-bedroom, three-storey properties are two of Redrow’s most popular deigns and offer style and space in abundance. They are priced from £223,995.

Hallwood Gardens at Gillibrands Park is a prestigious development of stylish one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom homes, all within the grounds of the historic, Grade II listed Gillibrands Hall.

Beautifully set against a stunning backdrop of rich woodlands (with tree preservation orders on most) and striking landscaped gardens, a sense of seclusion and intimacy is waiting to be enjoyed. Yet the town centre is approximately one mile away, with everything home owners will need, from high street stores and a post office, to primary schools and doctors.

For those that enjoy leisurely walks, Chorley provides endless options, with Yarrow Valley Park, the West Pennine Moors and the stunning Lancashire Plain all close by.
