Bryant Homes has undergone a joint venture with ecologists to ensure some existing residents on one of its sites are not left without a home.
It has drawn up a Wildlife Protection plan to help out various species living on the site of the Grange in Hailsham.
Environmental experts at RSK Carter Ecological have been on hand to make sure all the existing wildlife and its habitats are well catered for.
"These measures have fitted very well with our plans to preserve ponds, trees, hedgerows and grassland areas close to the development, which are an outstanding feature of this semi-rural location," revealed sales manager for Bryant Homes Clare Rooke.
She also said that invertebrates were carefully being collected and rehomed behind special fencing to make sure they are comfortable.
Bryant Homes has a number of developments currently on the market, including Manor Park in Durham, where prices start from £109,950.
