Why New For Old Is A Great Way To Upgrade Your Home In Malmesbury
Swapping your existing property for a brand new home in Malmesbury is a quick, stress-free and appealing solution, especially when it’s taking vendors nearly three months to find a buyer for themselves.
Deposit Match Is The Key To Moving Up The Property Ladder
The current lack of affordable mortgages and the substantial deposits being sought by lenders is forcing many homeowners to put their next move on hold. Recent figures show that 49 per cent of homeowners* need more space but can’t take that necessary step up the property ladder because they don’t have a large enough deposit and can’t afford the higher mortgage payments. However a new scheme from national house builder Taylor Wimpey may offer the perfect solution for couples and families who have outgrown their current home.
First-Timers Get A Kick Start With Deposit Match
The current lack of affordable mortgages and rising property prices in recent years means more than one million young people* are moving back in with their parents in a bid to save money. Dubbed the ‘baby boomerangers’ because of their inability to leave home for good, one in five 18 to 24 year olds and an estimated 440,000 25 to 35 years olds have admitted they have either returned to the family home or put their plans to move out on hold as they try and save for a deposit. But a new idea from national house builder Taylor Wimpey may be the solution.

Benefits of Buying New as Confidence in the Property Market Returns
Buying a brand new home could prove a shrewd move as recovery in the property market heralds the return of gazumping and sealed bids. Estate agents this week claimed gazumping – where buyers lose out at the last minute to a higher bid – is back in some areas of the second hand market. Sealed bids are also being used for some properties where demand is high.

George Wimpey’s Madison Mews development in Hayle is currently enjoying strong sales with house hunters snapping up homes at the development. Madison Mews is celebrating the sale of 6 new homes in the last month alone, showing some of the ‘green shoots’ reported by market experts in recent weeks.

Just four apartments, together with a number of 3 & 4 bedroom homes are now left at the development, so prospective purchasers are urged to get in touch immediately to avoid missing out on their dream new home.

Janine Davey, regional sales and marketing director at George Wimpey, said: “The latest data from the Bank of England shows that mortgage approvals have jumped up, and Halifax reports that property prices actually rose by 2.6% last month.

“We’ve seen that demand for quality new homes is still there, with purchasers looking to find a bargain and trade up to a larger property. With interest rates their lowest in 300 years and a great range of incentives for purchasers to take advantage of, there really couldn’t be a better time to buy.”

Located in the crescent of St Ives Bay and surrounded by golden sands and beautiful countryside, Madison Mews is a collection of two bedroom apartments and three and four bedroom homes. Prices start from £129,995.
