The largest monthly house price rise in seven years – combined with strong sales at its new Sandringham development in Eastcote – are indications that the housing market is picking up, according to leading housebuilder George Wimpey West London.

Since Easter, 12 houses and apartments have been sold at the development, which offers one-bedroom apartments from £204,995, two-bedroom apartments and coach houses from £241,995, three-bedroom terraced homes from £399,995 and four-bedroom houses starting at £404,995.

Four-bedroom family homes at Sandringham are proving to be extremely popular, with the ‘Danson’ townhouse priced from £419,995 attracting a great deal of interest.

The ‘Danson’ boasts an open plan kitchen/dining room which is ideal for entertaining, an integral garage and a ground floor cloakroom.

Upstairs, the landing leads to a spacious living room, a bedroom and a bathroom, while the master bedroom with en-suite, a study and two further bedrooms can be found on the top floor.

Each home at Sandringham is finished to a high standard specification, including gas central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with built-in oven, hob and stainless steel hood and appliances, and downlighters and ceramic floor tiles to add a contemporary feel to kitchens and bathrooms.

Tim Betts, Sales and Marketing Director for George Wimpey West London, says: “With the Halifax reporting the largest monthly rise in house price values for seven years and sales at Sandringham progessing well, this is the perfect time to buy a new family home.

“These are good indications that there is growing confidence among buyers and for expanding families who can generate a deposit and capitalise on low mortgage rates, the gap between their existing home and a newer, larger one is smaller than ever.”

Sandringham lies within 19 acres of landscaped grounds between Ruislip and Eastcote High Street, with a new community hall and public open spaces included in the development design.

The superb array of local shopping facilities include a Marks & Spencer and a Waitrose, while a wider choice of outlets can be found nearby at The Chimes Shopping Centre in Uxbridge.

Pubs, restaurants and bars are also within walking distance of the development, the well-equipped High Grove Gym is just around the corner, and the tranquil parkland of Ruislip Common, Park Wood and Ruislip Lido are also within easy reach.

Commuters choosing to enjoy Sandringham’s laid-back lifestyle are well catered for, with the M40 and M25 a 15-minute drive away and direct local bus services to Pinner, Northwood and Ruislip.

The development is also equidistant from East Ruislip, Eastcote and Ruislip Manor stations on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines, and, only a little further on foot or by road, South Ruislip and West Ruislip stations on the Central Line.
