First-time buyers in Brighton are to be given a helping hand when the government's Homebuy Direct scheme is launched on one of the city's developments.
One Brighton is offering homebuyers the chance to buy a one-bedroom apartment for £125,965 with the help of the scheme.
Commenting, Chris Warner, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson Regeneration, said: "Just over a third of homes at One Brighton have now been sold, with only 10 apartments remaining in the first phase.
"The ongoing popularity of One Brighton is very gratifying, especially given recent market conditions."
Purchasers will own 100 per cent of their property, despite only paying 70 per cent of its value as the rest is deferred over 25 years.
In his latest Budget, chancellor Alistair Darling announced that more money would be provided for the scheme to help those with combined incomes of less than £60,000 on to the property ladder.
