Time is running out for families looking to take advantage of the successful HomeBuy Direct scheme currently running at George Wimpey’s The Paddocks development on Stopgate Lane in Aintree.
The company has a limited number of its popular Westerham semi-detached homes available under the scheme, priced from just £97,997.
But would-be buyers are being reminded that the scheme is only available for a limited time and that contracts must be exchanged by Christmas.
HomeBuy Direct is a government-backed scheme aimed at helping purchasers with a household income of less than £60,000 afford the home they want, subject to eligibility and affordability checks*.
Under the scheme buyers are provided with an interest free equity loan for 30 per cent of the value of the property, co-funded by the Homes and Communities Agency and George Wimpey, helping first time buyers overcome the hurdles of high mortgage costs and larger deposits.
Regional sales and marketing director Anthony Mansfield said: “HomeBuy Direct has been hugely successful at The Paddocks but it does have a finite lifespan at the development. Potential purchasers need to get in touch with us as soon as possible to discuss their eligibility and the homes available under the scheme.”
The Westerham homes being offered at the Paddocks feature a spacious open plan lounge with dining area, which is perfect for entertaining and has the added benefit of having French doors opening onto the rear garden. The property also comprises a fully fitted kitchen and a downstairs cloakroom. Upstairs there is a family bathroom and three bedrooms, one of which comes complete with fitted wardrobes. The home also has allocated parking.
The development is close to Aintree Retail Park with its vast selection of outlets, and it also offers excellent commuter links with easy access to the A580 East Lancashire Road for those working in Liverpool or further a field.
