Housing minister John Healey has given the go ahead to 115 stalled housing schemes to receive Kickstart funding, taking the total number of Kickstart schemes to date to more than 150.
The 115 schemes will be given a share of up to £388 million which means that since the initiative was announced, £450 million has been invested to deliver more than 11,000 homes.
Healey said: “This Kickstart cash is a rapid response to the recession, using the power of government investment to support the country during the downturn.”
Three of the new Kickstart schemes include Bellway’s Kvaener, Stockton-on-Tees, CM Yuill’s West Lane, Middlesbrough, and Morris Homes’ Tower Wharf in Chester.
