People in Newport are invited to join residents at McCarthy & Stone’s Medina Court development on Old Westminster Lane this month for a special Christmas event in support of charity Chernobyl Children’s Life Line.
The event takes place on Monday 7th December, from 2.00pm to 4.00pm, and visitors will be able to listen to a choir perform and join in with all their festive favourites, while enjoying complimentary mulled wine and mince pies.
McCarthy & Stone will be collecting voluntary donations on entry to the event and all money raised will go directly to Chernobyl Children’s Life Line, to help them continue to support the child victims of the Chernobyl disaster.
Aileen King, sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone South West, comments: “This event will not only provide an excellent opportunity to raise vital funds for the Chernobyl Children’s Life Line, but is also the ideal way for residents and visitors to get into the festive spirit! We’d encourage anyone who can spare the time to come along, enjoy the concert and show their support for such a worthwhile cause.”
Medina Court is a development of 46 one and two bedroom retirement apartments conveniently situated just 850 metres of the local high street, where a post office, hairdressers, opticians and chemist can be found in addition to a selection of other popular stores.
The development is designed exclusively for the over 60s and features a residents’ lounge, guest suite and a house manager, who oversees the day-to-day running of Medina Court.
