Bovis and Bellway have today (January 15) released statements to the City ahead of their results to be released soon.

Bovis said that it had made “good progress” with land acquisitions since re-entering the land market in late 2009. The housebuilder commented that across its regions of focus it had secured four sites, with terms agreed on a further 15.

During 2009, Bovis saw an 82% increase in private reservations. Meanwhile Bellway has experienced a 54% increase in its reservations over the five months ending 31 December 2009, compared to the same period in 2008.

Bellway said that it would continue to pursue new land opportunities, “but only at attractive margins.”
