Taylor Wimpey has maintained its “encouraging performance” since it last reported to the City in November, the housebuilder has said.
Releasing a statement ahead of its full year results ending 31 December 2009, Taylor Wimpey stated that its private order book rose 62% over the year to 3,048 homes, against 2008’s 1,887.
The volume housebuilder is “active in the land market” and during the second half of 2009 approved new land purchase commitments for 3,003 plots at 22 sites with a strong southern focus.
Market conditions were stable, the company said, but added: “The risks of further weakenesses in the wider economy and reduced mortgage availability remain.”
