People in Gravesend are invited to join residents at McCarthy & Stone’s Nelson Court development on Glen View this month for an afternoon of old time classics to help raise vital funds for local charity Ellenor Lions Hospice.
The event is taking place on Friday 5th February from 2.00pm to 4.00pm and residents and visitors will be able to listen to professional singer Karen Bates and sing-along to all their favourite songs from yester year.
Entry to the event is free but during the afternoon, visitors will be invited to make a donation to the charity and enter a raffle to win a luxury hamper.
Wendy Slingo, sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone South East, comments: “Ellenor Lions Hospice is very close to our residents’ hearts and many of them regularly raise funds for the charity. As such, we wanted to show our support in a fun but worthwhile way.
“Ellenor Lions Hospice plays such an important role within the local community but it cannot continue its work without support. We hope that our sing along event will help raise vital funds for the hospice as they strive to provide all encompassing hospice care to those who need it most. We welcome anyone who wants to come along and sing their heart out!”
Nelson Court is an Assisted Living retirement development comprising 61 properties, each benefiting from a well-thought out design to help residents maintain independence and home ownership in later life.
The development is conveniently situated in Windmill Hill, a pleasant residential area renowned for its spectacular views of the River Thames.
