Taylor Wimpey Manchester is bracing itself for a surge of interest from first time buyers at Chapelfield Park on Stand Lane after introducing a new shared equity scheme aimed at helping those who are finding it difficult to raise larger deposits and make those all important first steps onto the property ladder.

The housebuilder is offering its Easystart scheme on one of its Geneva apartments. Demand is expected to be high so first time buyers are being urged to visit the sales information centre to register their interest.

Under the Easystart scheme, first time buyers can own 100 per cent of a new home from day one but pay just 85 per cent of the price now. The other 15 per cent is offered by the housebuilder as an interest free loan to be repaid within 10 years*.

With prices for a new Geneva apartment usually starting at just £102,995, this means that the same housetype is available under the Easystart scheme for a mortgage of just £87,545, with only a 5 per cent deposit payable, making the scheme more affordable to those who think they can’t afford to buy.

A deposit of just 5 per cent is required and the scheme is restricted to first time buyers.

Regional sales and marketing director Anthony Mansfield said: “The Easystart scheme is an excellent opportunity for first time buyers to get a foot on the property ladder and is particularly attractive to buyers who are finding it difficult to raise larger deposits.

“But there will be high levels of interest so potential purchasers need to contact us as soon as possible.”

The Geneva is a superb two bedroom apartment that includes a combined living and dining area, stylish kitchen and a separate bathroom. Geneva apartments come complete with an allocated parking space.

Home affordability has improved significantly for potential first time buyers over the past year. Taylor Wimpey has helped thousands of first time buyers move into a new home.

Chapelfield Park is ideally situated just outside the main shopping centre of Radcliffe and a short drive from the local town centres of Whitefield and Bury, the development is in a pleasant residential location with a range of local amenities.

Conveniently placed between two major motorways in the North West, the M60 and M66, Chapelfield Park also offers commuters easy access to the national motorway network.

For more information on Easystart at Chapelfield Park or about the development itself,  visit the sales information centre, which is open from Thursday to Monday between 11am and 5pm.
