Taylor Wimpey’s sought-after Lion Mills development in Soham is proving a big hit with the local community, with three out of every four homes purchased by current residents of the Cambridgeshire town.

Built to satisfy demand for much-needed new homes in the area, this stunning collection of apartments and houses is proving an attractive prospect for local buyers in search of exceptional value for money in a convenient location.

Of the 50 homes sold since the development opened, 37 have been reserved by existing Soham residents (74%) with nearly half of all properties (23) purchased by first-time buyers.

Stacy Dornan, Associate Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “It’s great news that Lion Mills is so popular with local people because, with every new development we build, our aim is to satisfy a need for high-quality housing within that community.

“It’s important that towns such as Soham can provide homes for younger generations of residents, and the fact that nearly half the homes purchased at Lion Mills have been secured by local first-time buyers is a fantastic boost for the area.”

A wide selection of attractive properties is currently available at the development, including spacious three-bedroom houses from just £149,995 and magnificent four-bedroom houses from only £259,995. A fresh selection of stylish one and two-bedroom apartments is set to be released later this year, with further three and four-bedroom houses also coming soon.

The three-bedroom semi-detached ‘Weston’ is an ideal choice for couples or growing families, and is available to reserve now from just £169,995.

This delightful design boasts a superbly spacious lounge/dining room opening through French doors to the private rear garden, while a separate contemporary kitchen and a handy guest cloakroom can also be found off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to a large en-suite master bedroom, two further bedrooms and a main bathroom. The ‘Weston’ also benefits from a garage and additional allocated parking and, like all new homes at Lion Mills, is completed to a high standard specification, including double glazing, central heating, fitted Symphony kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood, and Porcelanosa wall tiles to the bathroom and en-suite.

To make choosing a home at the development even more appealing, Taylor Wimpey offers a range of time and money-saving incentives, including help with deposits and legal fees for first-time buyers, and assistance with finding a buyer for an existing property for those with a home to sell.

Incentives can be tailored to customers’ individual circumstances and are subject to availability, with further information available from the Sales Executive.

Lion Mills benefits from a wide range of amenities on the doorstep, including high street shops, a choice of supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and take-aways, while Cambridge, Newmarket and Ely are all within easy reach by road.

For commuters, the A412 offers quick links to the A14 east and west, while Ely railway station provides a direct service to London Kings Cross.
