If you’re over the age of 60 and have been considering a move to a new home, spring into action now and take advantage of retirement developer McCarthy & Stone’s ‘Move For Free’ service, available during March and April at its developments across Surrey – and enjoy a complimentary hot cross bun while you take a look around!

The developer has teamed up with House to Home UK to offer not only a first rate removals service but help with decluttering your home as well! McCarthy & Stone will also pay your solicitor and estate agents’ fees, stamp duty and will even arrange and pay for a Home Information Pack for your existing property. In addition, the sales consultant will liaise closely with you, your estate agent and solicitor on all aspects of the sale.

On reserving a property at any of McCarthy & Stone’s developments in Surrey, purchasers will be able to sign up for the free service. Prior to their move date, the specialist removals company will assist in decluttering their home and will organise for unwanted furniture and household objects to be sent to Scope and The Furniture Re-Use Network.

Once decluttered, the team will then help with packing up the purchaser’s belongings, transporting everything to their new McCarthy & Stone apartment and unpacking for them on arrival.

Wendy Slingo, sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone South East, explains: “We know that moving home can be an overwhelming experience. Many of our purchasers are downsizing to a lower maintenance property and as such packing is no small task, especially if you have lived in the same property for many years and have lots of furniture you need to get rid of. And, it can be all the more difficult in later life, especially if you suffer from mobility problems or arthritis. But through our free removals service, we aim to make the transition from old to new as easy and as stress-free as possible while taking away some of the financial strain as well. Come and see us now, enjoy a hot cross bun and see if we can get you moving!”

McCarthy & Stone is currently offering a range of purpose built one and two bedroom apartments across Surrey at its developments Lewis Court in Redhill, Ridings Court in Reigate, Oaktree Court in Addlestone and Reeves Court in Camberley.

All McCarthy & Stone retirement developments are designed to promote an active and independent lifestyle for the over 60s and include facilities such as a residents’ lounge, guest suite, a house manager and a lift. A security entrance system and 24-hour Careline provide peace of mind for both residents and their families.
