Subsided mortgages offer for Manchester buyers

First-time buyers in Greater Manchester are being urged to consider taking up Miller Homes' subsidised fixed-rate mortgage offer.

The developer is offering new homebuyers a special subsidised fixed-rate mortgage of 1.99 per cent at developments throughout Manchester and the north-west.

It means that first-time buyers can take advantage of a year of low interest rates, offering savings of three per cent.

"Getting the right option for a first-time buyer is a combination of the right home and the right deal," said Carolyn Walsh, regional sales manager.

Among the homes on offer in the Manchester region are apartments at Finley Park in Farnworth and Greenwich Gardens in Leigh, where asking prices start at around £100,000.

In addition, for around £130,000, there are two-bedroom apartments and town centre flats available at Brookes Park in Monton and central Stockport respectively.

Last month, Miller Homes started work on 230 "stylish" properties to be built on the former site of Kersal High School in Greater Manchester.

The development, which has "stunning" views of Salford and Manchester, will consist of one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three, four and five-bedroom houses.
