First-time buyers in Southampton are being offered an incentive to escape the "rental trap" and move into new build apartments in the city centre.
The Oceana Boulevard development has 34 Citipads still waiting to be snatched up by would-be homeowners who have not yet been able to get onto the property ladder.
Barratt Homes is offering a 'move in for £99' deal, whereby homeseekers are asked for a down payment of less than £100 on selected apartments.
Jodie Wincomb, sales negotiator, said: "First-time buyers are being given the chance to escape the rental trap and move into their own brand new Barratt Homes property.
"The move in for £99 option means Barratt Homes will pay the stamp duty, legal fees and the deposit for a first time home buyer."
Oceana Boulevard is adjacent to Dockgate 4, overlooking Queens Park and close to the city's waterfront. Citipads start from £135,500.
