New properties in north Derbyshire have managed to stand up to the terrible weather in recent weeks, remaining high and dry despite heavy rain.
Areas of the county have suffered severe flooding, but The Spires development in Derby Road, Chesterfield, has been largely unaffected by flooding, making its flats ideal for families.
Photographs of flooding in Chesterfield show a contractor wading through water in the road, while the new Barratt apartments in The Spires are clear of the water.
Barratt's East Midlands managing director, Kevin Broughton, commented: "After thorough consultations with groups like the Environment Agency and local authority - we ensure that our properties are built above what would be the high water mark in areas which may be prone to flooding."
The Spires in Chesterfield is a development of two, three and four bedroom houses and apartments, with prices starting from £142,500.
On the edge of the stunning Peak District, Chesterfield is set in beautiful countryside and is a pretty market town, with a crooked spire, Victorian market hall, attractive parks, good pubs and restaurants and its own museum.
