A new build estate has been completed in Upton, Northampton and developers have come up with an offer that is likely to be of interest to first-time buyers.

Miller Homes believes it has the solution to the anxiety associated with buying a house and keeping up with mortgage payments, especially at a time when house price and mortgages are rising.

The Mortgage Subsidy Offer, currently available on selected houses at the Upton Green development, offers buyers £500 a month towards their mortgage for two years, reports news organisation Easier.

Steve Garton, area sales manager, said: "After much research we found there were a number of uncertainties which purchasers face when moving home.

"We believe this is a fantastic scheme which should not be missed by prospective purchasers."

Upton Green is an eco-friendly development situated on the outskirts of Northampton, built under the auspices of English Partnerships.

The homes are designed to achieve the top Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method score for environmental performance and the highest National Home Energy Rating for energy usage.
