Birmingham apartments built for young professionals

Young professionals hoping to buy their first property in Birmingham city centre could be in luck.

Barratt Homes has created the Skyline development on Bath Row, which comprises one and two bedroom apartments and penthouses in the city centre.

According to Barratt, the development was built to cater for the influx of young professionals moving into the fast-growing city.

"Birmingham has finally shaken off its industrial image and now enjoys a reputation for being one of Europe's most exciting destinations," said sales director David Child.

"Major investment is helping to transform the city and attract more and more young workers who are looking for the buzz of combining living and working in the centre."

He went on to say that the Skyline apartments, which are "priced perfectly" for buyers, are evidence that city living does not have to come with a "sky-high price tag".

The starting price for the apartments is £149,950 – around £10,000 cheaper than the average price of a home in the city, according to figures obtained by the BBC.
