Maidstone homes 'are selling fast'

Househunters in Maidstone, Kent are being urged to act fast as more than half the new homes at Barratt's Riverside Plaza have been reserved.

The builder has said that its 'Move in for £99' incentive, which is available on selected one-bedroom apartments, is responsible for the surge in interest.

Adam Lawrence, regional managing director, said: "Barratt is committed to creating incentive packages designed to make house buying easier and more affordable.

"Our new 'Move in for £99' incentive means that first-time buyers will have a real chance of securing a foot on the property ladder in a superb location."

There are a few one and two-bedroom apartments, plus a three-bedroom townhouse, that are still waiting to be sold.

Prices for the homes, which are situated on the banks of the River Medway, start from around £165,000.

Maidstone is halfway between central London and the English Channel and is home to largest business community in the county and is one of the south-east's major shopping destinations.
