New Stoke homes selling for about £80k

First-time buyers looking for a property in Stoke-on-Trent will soon be able to buy a brand new home for around £80,000.

One and two-bedroom apartments in Hanley are being built by Gladedale, which is offering to pay five per cent deposit.

Prices at Wedgewood Gardens start at £80,950 and Gladedale claims the homes by the Caldon Canal will help first-time buyers make that "crucial first step" onto the property ladder.

Julie Davies, sales manager, said: "We're delighted at being able to offer apartments at competitive prices at this development.

"And by paying their five per cent deposit it means they can reserve immediately and keep their money for when they move in."

Those who are interested in buying one of the apartments can visit the on-site show apartment.

Affectionately known as The Potteries among locals because of its historic pottery industry, Stoke-on-Trent is situated halfway between Manchester and Birmingham, making it an ideal place for commuters who work in either of these big cities.
