Overseas property investors interested in tapping into Turkey's more exclusive property market should consider Kalkan, one expert has said.
Described by Nirvana International as the latest Turkish hotspot, Kalkan boasts high-calibre properties, such as Villa Superior, which is 250 metres from the beach and costs less than £400,000.
The villa comprises three en-suite bedrooms, a sun terrace, an open-plan kitchen, a lounge and a 45 sq m pool.
Robert Nixon, director of Nirvana International, told Easier: "Kalkan is exceptional because it is becoming a niche market.
"The unprecedented rate of increase in value of properties in the region [means that] Kalkan could become the new Marbella but in a smaller, more chic sort of way."
He went on to say that investors could charge holidaying tenants £2,000 a week.
