Linden Homes has said that househunters tend to be very receptive to eco-friendly properties.
The housebuilder, which claims its homes are 40 per cent more energy-efficient than regulations require, say that green measures in its south-east homes have been largely welcomed.
Linden also said that house buyers have made cash savings on their energy bills as a result of the eco-friendly measures, such as water conserving techniques and insulation.
Commenting on a development in Woking, regional managing director Paul Cooper said: "These homes are way above the industry average for carbon efficiency.
"We have learnt a great deal from the eco-trials in Woking and are now preparing to launch a second scheme in the area."
The government, which wants to build a number of eco-towns across the UK, has said that all new homes must be carbon-neutral by 2016.
