5% deposit paid for north-west first-time buyers

First-time buyers in the north-west could save money by choosing an apartment that has been built by Gladedale, it has emerged.

The housebuilder is offering to pay the five per cent deposit at a number of its developments in the region.

For example, The Galleries on Gladstone Street, Warrington has a number of one and two-bedroom apartments. Popular with young professionals, the apartments are prices £97,500 and upwards.

Joanne Spate, sales director for Gladedale, said: "First-time buyers often forget that a deposit is needed to buy a new home which obviously leaves them feeling deflated if they don't have it.

"We are keen to help first-time buyers get their first foot on the property ladder so further initiatives may be available."

The Galleries an ideal location for commuters as it is caught between two of the north-west's most prosperous cities – Manchester and Liverpool.

But Warrington is not without its fair share of attractions. Earlier this month, fashion chain Zara moved into the town's Golden Square shopping centre, which recently underwent a £120 million extension.
