Bulgarian cities 'have strong investment prospects'

The cities of Varna and Sofia in Bulgaria have been identified by analysts as good places for property investors to make a profit.

Thanks to high demand for property from overseas parties, the Bulgarian economy has strengthened, which in turn has made it more lucrative for British investors, according to PropertySecrets.net.

Buying off-plan in up-and-coming locations like Sofia and Varna is something that is recommended by the PropertySecrets.net.

"Most people are buying off-plan because with off-plan you know what you're getting, more or less," said chief analyst Simon Tweddle.

However, some parts of the country are less lucrative, commented Mr Tweddle.

"I think in the mountains and the coast it's already completely saturated and over-supplied," he added.

Investors are currently being targeted by Dream Homes WorldWide, which is promoting Sofia Ski Resort, an upmarket residential community that comprises one and two-bedroom apartments, studios and a hotel.

There is also a rental guarantee of five per cent for the first 24 months.
