The second phase of properties at Barratt's new Ellesmere Grange development in Shrewsbury is being released ahead of schedule.

Some 128 homes will be built at Ellesmere Grange, including three-bedroom terraced homes, three-storey townhouses and two-bedroom apartments.

Barratt is urging potential homebuyers to act fast as it has already witnessed a spate of pre-construction reservations.

Sales manager Joanne Burnett said: "Ellesmere Grange is only minutes from Shrewsbury town centre so people who work in the town can leave their cars at home.

"The property designs are very attractive and there are some great deals available, but only for a limited period, so our advice is to get your name down now and save money."

Off-plan prices for the apartments start at £145,300, while three-bedroom homes and three-storey townhouses are priced from £169,300 and £215,350 respectively.

Shrewsbury is often regarded as the gateway to Wales, with rail services running to Cardiff, Aberystwyth, Wrexham, as well as to Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Manchester and Chester.
