The second phase of George Wimpey's Orchard Grove development in South Lanarkshire has gone on sale.

Situated in the village of Blackwood, this phase comprises more than 50 three-bedroom semi-detached homes, with prices starting from £148,000.

Michelle Logie, sales director for George Wimpey, said there is a "great sense of community" in Blackwood and that new homeowners would feel very welcome.

She added: "Our previous phases at Orchard Grove and neighbouring development The Pines have been overwhelmingly successful, and I'm sure both new and existing customers will be keen to see what we have to offer."

Only a short commute from Glasgow, Motherwell, East Kilbride and Hamilton, Blackwood is likely to be popular with homeowners who want a quiet life away from work.

In addition, the bustling market town of Lanark, which boasts a heritage centre with world heritage site status, is a 15-minute drive away from Orchard Grove.
