Redrow Homes to build new developments in WalesRedrow Homes to build new developments in Wales
Housebuilder Redrow Homes is scheduled to construct a new housing development on Croesonen Road, Abergavenny, which will consist of 20 new executive homes, as well as five affordable properties.
Part of the deal will see the company put money towards a children's play area, reports Easier.
The firm has also purchased one more site for property in Abergavenny, one in Cross Hands and another in Blackwood.
Peter Thomas, land director for Redrow Homes (south Wales), remarked: "We are delighted to have acquired four excellent sites and can continue to provide homebuyers in south Wales with a superb selection of new homes in great locations.
"The two sites in Abergavenny extend our commitment to the town, whereas the Cross Hands venture will be our most western development."
In nearby south-west England this week, the Chartered Institute of Housing South West Branch has welcomed inspectors' calls for 28,000 homes to be constructed in the area every year, with over one-third being new affordable homes.
