George Wimpey is promising to give value for money to homebuyers who are worried about buying a new-build at a time when national property price growth is slowing down.
The developer's new 100% Value, 100% Honesty guarantee reassures buyers that they are purchasing a new home for the true market value.
This guarantee has apparently been managed in conjunction with high street lenders so that homebuyers can be confident that their home loan is not overblown.
Jason Colmer, sales director for George Wimpey, said: "Too many of our competitors artificially inflate the price of their properties to offer huge incentives.
"But this can lead to problems either in getting a mortgage, or when it's time to sell."
He went on to say that the guarantee means a mortgage application is more likely to be accepted than declined.
George Wimpey housing developments participating in the scheme include Pages Priory II in Leighton Buzzard, Broughton Fields and Oxley Woods in Milton Keynes and Bilton Court, Rugby.
