Barratt hopes to erect wind turbine at Slough development

Barratt has provided an update on its eco friendly Eton Green development in Cippenham in Slough, Berkshire.

Planning permission has been submitted to the local council to erect a wind turbine to provide renewable energy.

Once completed, the development will incorporate a network of cycleways and footpaths. Moreover, every home sold at Eton Green will come with a £250 voucher to be spent on a bike.

Barratt Southern Counties managing director Trevor Sawyer said: "Eton Green provides the perfect combination of location and specification.

"The scheme has been immensely popular and we believe the wide variety of homes available is responsible for this success."

Eton Green will eventually provide 300 properties, including one-bedroom apartments and family houses, with prices starting at £164,995.

Other Barratt developments in Berkshire include the Glass House in Maidenhead, which is a development of one and two-bedroom apartments above the new Sainsbury's store.
