Barratt has described the interest expressed in its new Hollybrook Lodge development in Southampton as "incredible".
Comprising one and two-bedroom apartments, the development is primarily aimed at first time buyers.
According to the housebuilder, five apartments were reserved during the opening week at Hollybrook Lodge.
Catherine Ferguson, Barratt sales director, said: "The interest in this development is incredible and the reservation numbers speak for themselves.
"We've attracted a lot of interest from first-time buyers and we can offer some excellent packages designed to make this superb site accessible to them."
Prices for homes at Hollybrook Lodge start at £169,995.
The port of Southampton is on the south coast of England and is the closest city to New Forest, which has National Park status.
