Gladedale launches shared purchase scheme

Gladedale is helping first-time buyers to obtain 100 per cent of their new home for just 75 per cent of the price.

Under the terms of the shared purchase scheme, Gladedale will provide an interest-free loan for up to ten years to cover the outstanding 25 per cent of the purchase price.

The offer is available on homes that have been built under the banner of Primo, which is part of the Gladedale Group.

Richard Jones, sales director at Gladedale, said he understands that first-time buyers may be cautious because of the media focus on the credit crisis and falling house prices.

But he expressed his confidence that Gladedale is offering first-time buyers a "genuine" way of getting onto the property ladder.

"In some cases for first-time buyers, we have alternative schemes to cover stamp duty and legal fees," Mr Jones added.

Primo homes are available in the north and east of England.
