A two-bedroom apartment at Stewart Milne's Apple Blossom Grove development in Irlam, Salford is an affordable choice for Manchester first time buyers, it has been claimed.

According to Rachel MacCutchan, sales manager for Stewart Milne, the new homes are perfect for commuters who work in the city centre but who do not want to spend a fortune on petrol.

The development is eight miles from the Trafford Centre and 12 miles from central Manchester.

Not to be confused with Irlam o' th' Height, also in Salford, Irlam is situated on the north bank of the River Irwell and is a former steel manufacturing centre.
