Fairview Homes has announced the launch of the Flying Start deal at its Arterra development in Faversham.

First time buyers can now purchase a new home for a reserve price of £50 and pay 75 per cent of the existing purchase price. The remaining 25 per cent is rent and interest free for up to ten years.

This means that a one-bedroom apartment would cost £86,250 rather than the usual £115,000. On a three-bedroom house usually worth £235,000, first time buyers would pay £176,250. Prices are correct at time of publication.

Fairview sales director Tim Nixon said: "There is no catch to our Flying Start deal. It is simply designed to help first time buyers out of a tougher market."

Faversham is ten miles from Canterbury and 25 miles from Dover. The local station is on the mainline running from London Victoria to Canterbury, Dover and Ramsgate.

This Saturday (July 26th), BBC television weatherman Nick Miller will be in Faversham to launch a model railway exhibition at the Alexander Centre.
