First time buyers are being given a "sporting chance" at Countryside Properties' Sportcity Living development in east Manchester.

Countryside Properties is urging first time buyers to check out the new two, three and four-bedroom homes on Ashton New Road on Sunday August 17th.

With prices starting at £74,975 (correct at time of publication), young couples and key workers are in with a chance of owning their own home.

A total of 28 homes are available for purchase through the First Time Buyer Initiative (FTBI), which enables would-be homeowners to buy a new house for half the price.

The outstanding amount is paid for by the government's regeneration agency English Partnerships.

Countryside Properties sales director Martin Leggett said: "We want budding homeowners to join us this Sunday for a glass of bubbly, a bite to eat and to see ... what is now affordable through the FTBI."

As well as being located in one of Britain's best-loved cities, Sportcity Living is within comfortable driving distance of the Lake District, Chester and Liverpool.
