First-time buyers are being offered a new deal by Barratt Homes that may help ease financial costs during the initial period of living in their first home.
The housebuilder is offering to pay the utility bills until January 2010 for those purchasing a home in any of its Birmingham developments.
However, the deal - available to buyers if it's newly-built West Midlands one and two-bedroom apartments - will only last for a limited time.
Sales Director for Barratt David Child stated that all utility bills included gas, electricity and council tax will be covered up to the value of £350 per month.
"After taking into consideration the costs and fees usually associated with moving home, many purchasers find it a struggle to find the extra cash for indulgences in the first few years of buying a property," he explained.
Recently, Barratt Southern Counties announced the completion of its 1,000th property.
