Bryant in stamp duty offerBryant in stamp duty offer
Homebuilder Bryant has offered buyers a way out of the uncertainty over the future of stamp duty by guaranteeing to pay it for them at its new developments in the east Midlands.
While it will not be known until November's pre-budget statement whether the government is to give buyers a stamp duty holiday, Bryant customers will already be able to avoid the levy now.
Regional Sales manager Stuart Cartwright argued that there should not be a delay and said a quick solution was needed for those not wanting to wait before moving.
He stated: "Stamp duty is a significant financial outlay and we believe that by covering the cost and saving buyers thousands, we can help more people move home."
A poll out today from the National Association of Estate Agents has shown that 98 per cent of its members believe market confidence had been dented by the stamp duty uncertainty, with 56 per cent losing at least one sale as a result.
