First-time buyers looking to get on the property ladder may wish to consider following Philip Awcock's example and invest in a two-bedroom home at Saddlers in Billingshurst.
A range of new houses are on offer at the 48 property development, including two and three-bedroom homes available from £226,995 and £299,995 respectively.
Barratt Southern Homes has put together a number of incentives in order to encourage potential buyers to move to Saddlers, including free removals and a 100 per cent home exchange offer where the company will take responsibility for selling buyers' existing properties.
Mr Awcock chose to purchase a property in the new Barratt Southern Counties Saddlers site and feels he has made the right choice buying a larger home rather than an apartment.
"I am not worried about the current instability in the market, because I am planning to set down roots here and enjoy my new home for years to come," he added.
Barratt has recently reduced properties at its Knightsbridge Park development in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester, meaning a mid-mews home in the development can now be purchased for £149,950.
