Canterbury could tempt new homebuyers

Buyers looking to settle down in a cathedral city may wish to consider purchasing a new build home in Canterbury.

Berkeley Homes' Kingsbrook Park development, which consists of 264 apartments and townhouses could be a popular choice, due to its riverside location and "premium" properties, according to the builder.

Richard Taylor, Land and New Homes Countrywide's new homes area manager for Kent, described the development as providing quality housing in a desirable location.

"Canterbury … is renowned for its excellent schooling and shopping centre," he added. "[An] excellent construction standard sets [the development] above other new homes in the area."

The properties available at Kingsbrook Park all feature fully-furnished kitchens, along with television and broadband wiring and secure entry systems for the apartment buildings.

Prices for an apartment in the area start at £175,000, while three-bedroom townhouses are available from £320,000.

Buyers considering living in a historic town may be interested by a new development in the Lincolnshire town of Gainsborough. Miller Homes has built the Brooklands development in the area, which offers properties from £135,000.ADNFCR-1100-ID-18785917-ADNFCR
