A pair of first-time buyers have praised a scheme that helped them secure their first home.
Graham Ward and his fiancee Nikki Wise have bought a two-bedroom property in Fairview New Homes' The Mill development, which is located in South Darenth, Kent.
The couple had originally been looking for a one-bedroom home, but realised the Flying Start initiative could help them afford a bigger property.
Under the scheme, they own 100 per cent of the home but paid just 75 per cent, with the rest deferred for up to ten years.
"We had no idea we'd be able to afford such a substantial two bedroom home
we are going to put the savings that we are making towards our wedding," said Mr Ward.
Last week Fairview New Homes revealed that there is just one property remaining at its Escala2 development in Essex, which also offers the Flying Start scheme to first-time buyers.
