A new property development in Hexham is to include bird boxes to help attract wildlife to the area.

George Wimpey is to introduce the boxes at its Hackwood Glade site in Hexham, which features a range of three, four and five-bedroom apartments priced upwards of £199,995.

Those looking for a smaller property are also catered for, as the development features a number of two-bedroom apartments priced at £159,995.

Buyers who purchase a property at the site will have easy access to a range of shops, schools and amenities and sales director Joan Peart stated that the area should become home to a number of birds' nests when the breeding season begins in the spring.

"Because the development has a lot of beautiful trees and wildlife already, it is the perfect place to put up the bird boxes in a safe environment," she added.

George Wimpey recently announced the opening of a luxury property development in Otford, where prices start at £299,995.ADNFCR-1100-ID-18972533-ADNFCR
