Barratt Homes has announced the opening of a new showhome at a development in Portsmouth.
The housebuilder has opened the doors of a two-bedroom show apartment at its Citigait site, which has been decorated in a purple, silver and black colour scheme and includes a "contemporary" black and white kitchen.
Potential buyers who visit the development will be able to look around the new property before deciding whether to make a purchase and those that do choose to buy could be able to take advantage of Barratt's Dream Start initiative.
This enables buyers to secure a mortgage for 75 per cent of the home's value while still owning 100 per cent of the property, as payment of the remaining quarter will be deferred.
As a result, a one-bedroom apartment at Citigait normally priced at £118,995 would be available for £89,246.
Barratt recently announced that it is to hold a special event at its Hawthorn Meadows development on the Isle of Wight to mark the Chinese New Year.
Visitors to the Cowes site on February 24th will receive food and be able to watch a traditional Chinese dance.
