Barratt Homes is giving buyers the chance to buy their dream home in Durham by allowing them to buy a property on the spot for 75 per cent of its value.
Its two new developments are located at the Sidings in Blackhall Rocks and Manor Grange in Wingate, with Barratt offering to pay all moving and legal costs for buyers.
Barratt North East sales manager Steve Mariner comments: "It isn't shared ownership - it's your home and you own 100 per cent of it from day one - but you only pay 75 per cent of the purchase price now."
Known as Dream Start, the scheme would mean the move-in price of a two-bedroom home at the Sidings would be £82,250 rather than £115,000, the developer states.
It was revealed earlier this week that Barratt North East had unveiled three new showhomes in Blaydon, with 250 visitors interested in the properties over the past three weeks.
