Barratt Homes is continuing to please customers in the downturn.

The homebuilder's Ringland Park development near Norwich recently became the new home of Grant and Ellie Linsey, who were invited to view the property by the firm.

A special day for first-time buyers had been arranged by the homebuilder, allowing the couples to make their selection after having seen a selection of properties on the development.

Their two-bedroom terraced house is a significant upgrade from their former flat on the edge of the city and was snapped up at the reduced price of £145,000 with only a five per cent deposit.

Mr Linsey said: "We were so grateful to Barratt. Everyone was very helpful and kind and there was never any pressure.

"On top of everything else, they included carpets and a fridge/freezer in the price. We thought it was a fantastic deal."

Barratt Homes recently offered free gas, electric and water for 18 months for those buying new property in Telford. ADNFCR-1100-ID-19116880-ADNFCR
