Brazil property owners, including Brazil property investors, seeking to let out their homes during the 2014 soccer World Cup, which takes place in the summer time, are likely to encounter sky-high occupancy rates, according to one expert, reports UV10.

The World Cup, the largest sporting event on the planet, is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of supporters and in turn tourists during the “massive event”, Laura Rendell-Dunn, spokesperson for Journey Latin America, said.

She added: “It is a perfect opportunity to get out to Brazil and do some travelling around or combine it with a beach holiday and look at the sights the country has to offer."

Ms Rendell-Dunn added that holidaymakers looking for beautiful weather should head to the north-east, as temperatures remain at between 25 and 30 degrees C all year round.

However, Brazil is a great place to travel at any time of the year, she insisted.

Data from the Brazilian tourist board show that the majority of tourists visit Brazil in January, February and March, making this best time for landlords seeking to let out their properties in Brazil on short-term rental agreements.
