Australia is still attracting Brits looking to purchase overseas property for sale and relocate on the prospect of better work opportunities.
While Australia is too far from the UK for many looking for a second home, Liz Rowlinson, editor at A Place in the Sun Magazine, believes Down Under still holds its appeal for people looking to start anew.
This attitude has been spurred by several regions which have offered work-driven programmes to attract more foreigners to move to the area.
Ms Rowlinson added that although Sydney remains an expensive choice, there are a host of popular regions with property for sale to consider.
"Perth has been popular and has seen a lot of Brits going to relocate there in the last few years. Victoria is the other area that has been quite popular, and New South Wales as well," she explained.
Eynas Brodie, editor of Australian Property Investor, also noticed recently that a move to Australia can provide a smooth transition for Brits, as the language and customs are similar and the country has a stable political environment.
