Keen-eyed golf fans would have spotted the Oceanico Group logo on Padraig Harrington’s cap as the Irishman lifted his second successive Open Championship in style at Royal Birkdale last Sunday.

Harrington owns an Oceanico property and is sponsored by the Portuguese development company, which has a number of golf resorts on the Algarve.

“We were delighted to see Padraig successfully defend his Open title and would like to congratulate him on his great success in what was a very challenging tournament. As an owner of one of our Vilamoura Golf & Garden Resort properties we are delighted that Padraig will be able to enjoy playing on all seven of Oceânico’s golf courses in the Algarve, and we look forward to welcoming him back to Vilamoura soon,” said Oceanico Group director Gerry Fagan.
