12 December 2008

Eden Rock will officially announce the launch of its latest and ultimate luxury six-star rated scheme, Villa Rockstar, in January 2009.

Located on the island of St Barths in the French West Indies, and sited directly onto a pink white coral sandy beach with spectacular views looking onto the ocean, Villa Rockstar is split into three levels totalling 16,000sqft in size.

Villa Rockstar will feature four large master suites, two staff or teenagers’ cabins, a gymnasium, a private office, garages and cars - including a Mini Cooper and a Land Rover – and dining facilities for 12 people. There will also be a pool table and indoor sports area, lawns for croquet, a spa pool and an infinity swimming pool.

The winner of this weekend’s X Factor will be keen to learn that there will also be a fully equipped recording studio, music room and screening complex on site. They were all created in partnership with Ocean Way Recording Studios of Hollywood and the renowned sound engineer Allen Sides, who recorded the ‘Thriller’ album for Michael Jackson.

Residents will also have access to highest standards in housekeeping, service and cuisine, as well as privacy and security.

All this will be available at a snip at just €140,000 (£126,000) a week! The property won’t be made available for sale.

“I believe now that St Barths will become a diamond on the face of the earth”, says David Matthews, owner of the Eden Rock hotel. “Villa Rockstar is simply, the best house I can conceive without limitation of any kind – to be constructed onto a perfect beachside site.”

With regards to the rental price, Matthews, adds: “The price is a function of the cost and the cost has been enormous. We do not expect the house to be rented every week of the year, and indeed would prefer it not to be so. Everything must be perfect and too much activity in the house risks standards dropping.”
